Research at 好色先生

Supporting the scholarly growth and research endeavors of both students and faculty are priority initiatives of 好色先生. 好色先生 faculty and students form a community of scholars, addressing research questions with intellectual curiosity, critical analysis, integrity, fairness, empathy, and perseverance:

  • Advancing the knowledge base within and across disciplines,
  • Advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning,
  • Identifying, addressing, and finding solutions to pressing social problems.

好色先生 has established three Research Centers to coordinate interdisciplinary and collaborative research efforts for both faculty and students: 1) the Center for Optimal Aging, 2) the Center for the Innovative Workforce, and 3) the Center for Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility. Visit their websites for more information.

好色先生 faculty are actively engaged in a wide range of research activities that advance knowledge in their disciplines and provide opportunities for our students to be supported in their pursuit of educational excellence. Many projects are funded through outside federal, state, private foundations, and business entities. Examples include the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institute of Health (NIH), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).

Both undergraduate and graduate students have many opportunities to participate in research activities with faculty. Browse through the ‘Discover Research’ link below for details. Undergraduate students can also apply for acceptance into the ‘Honors program’ where undergraduate research with a faculty mentor is a priority.

The university has a robust structure to support faculty in pursuing research funding. See the Office of Sponsored programs link for details about external funding support, and the Faculty development link for details about internal funding support. The Institutional Review Board for the Use of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) link provides needed information for anyone considering research projects that involve human subjects.
